Virtual Reality also referred to as VR or true VR, is a computer generated reality where everything you experience has been created by us in a physics engine. This means we put together what you see, hear and feel within the virtual reality environment enabling us to create or recreate anything; be it a historic room or a solar system. As the experience is computer generated we are able to include interactive or narrative elements to further engage the viewer, further immersing them in your virtual world.
Augmented reality is the integration of digital information or models into a real world environment. Unlike virtual reality, which creates a totally artificial environment, augmented really uses the existing world around the viewer and overlays new information on top of it. Viewed through a tablet, headset or smartphone device. Within an augmented experiences our team creates the digital aspects of a scene and then implements one of a verity of methods for programing the digital’s interaction with the real world.
360-degree spherical video also known as VR video, wraps a film around a user immersing them in the content. This gives the illusion of a virtual space while allowing a live event or location to be captured for an VR experience quickly. Once the spherical video is captured post production and CGI techniques can then be used to enhance the experience. These 360-degree videos can then be viewed via a virtual reality headset or via YouTube on a PC or smart phone device.
We also offer a variety of 3D scanning and photogrammetry packages. The 3D scanning of physical objects allows us to incorporate into the virtual environment. This allows exhibitions to flow naturally as the objects of an exhibit can be quickly identified within the virtual experience as they appear exactly the same as those in the real world. 3D scanning also allows for increased interaction with physical objects that might otherwise be too fragile or valuable to be handled by the public. This combined with virtual reality means objects are no longer confined, be it by a display case or another country.
Room and building scanningWith the developments of the technology in this field we are also able to create 3D scans of physical spaces, be they rooms, environments or entire buildings. This method, again combined with virtual reality technologies, allows viewers to experience places that might otherwise be inaccessible. Enabling wheelchair users to access logistically impossible spaces or allowing the public virtual entry into areas otherwise considered sensitive or unsafe.
